DESCRIPTION:The Lincolnshire Research and Innovation Conference will take place on Wednesday 14 May\, at the Isaac Newton Building at The University of Lincoln. The conference aims to celebrate Lincolnshire’s Research & Innovation growth since the hub launch in April 2024 as well as look to the future and inspire progress. The conference will include inspirational keynote speakers and panel discussions. \nWe want to celebrate Lincolnshire’s successes and outline our ambition for the future. By 2029 we want to be a leading health and care system for rural and coastal research and innovation in the UK. \nMoreover\, there will be a poster competition which we fully encourage people at all stages of their research career to apply to. The poster can be submitted by a team or individual and is an amazing opportunity to showcase the pivotal work our R&I colleagues do within Lincolnshire every day. The winner of each category will present during the day. SUMMARY:Drop-in event about the impact of good hand hygiene | Monday 28th April @ Bridge House
DESCRIPTION:Monday May 5th is World Hand Hygiene Day as part of the ‘SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands’ campaign. The event is promoted by the World Health Organization to improve hand hygiene in healthcare. \nWith Monday 5th being a bank holiday\, we\, the ICB Health Protection Team are hosting an event on Monday April 28th instead. \nPlease come along to the Pelham room at Bridge House on 28th to see the impact of good hand hygiene. We’ve been doing some experiments with ICB staff to visibly demonstrate just how unclean our hands can be\, and what impact hand-washing has on this\, and subsequently on human health and the working environment. \nWe’d love you to come along to the event to see the results of this work and find out more about hand hygiene. There may be some freebies\, and there will be cake! \nAnytime from 9am\, we’d love to see you.

SUMMARY:SUDEP Action Day
DESCRIPTION:The MHDLDA Team have been working closely with the charity SUDEP (Sudden unexpected death in epilepsy). Our hope is that the SUDEP Action checklist will be rolled out into GP practices in Lincolnshire by April 2025.  \nWe are planning an all-day event at the New Life Centre in Sleaford on Monday 10th February 2025. The event is for health professionals across the systems and GPs. We would like as many people to attend as possible\, so that we can spread the word and get these checklists into practices\, so we can avoid any unexpected deaths. \nMonthly Epilepsy task and finish groups will be producing ideas for the event\, including breakout rooms and speakers. SUMMARY:‘What matters to you?’ Event hosted by Lincolnshire Maternity and Neonatal service team
DESCRIPTION:A roadshow for mums or mums to be\, their families\, or professionals working in this field. \n\n\n\n\nWe are delighted to invite you to the first in a series of roadshows we are hosting around the county.  They are for women thinking of having a baby\, are pregnant or a mum\, or a professional working in this field.\n\nWhat is the event?\n\n\nit is a drop in event taking place on Tuesday 11th October 2022 from 10am to 4pm at The Storehouse\, North Parade\, Skegness PE25 1BY and guests will receive a warm welcome\, information and goodie bags.  They will be invited to take a tour giving them an overview of the pregnancy journey and gather information about caring for their baby\, themselves and their family.  There will be opportunity to talk with midwives and other health service professionals. Free entry\, no pre booking is required. \n\n\nWhat and why are we asking?\n\n\nWe will be asking – What matters to you? a simple question which has a huge impact on the services that the team in the Lincolnshire Maternity and Neonatal system provide. \n\n\nWe want to listen and understand what matters to mums\, mums to be and the professionals that support them.  We want to ensure that care is safe and personal to all and that all mothers and babies achieve the best health outcomes. \n\n\nWhat are the benefits to those attending?\n\n\nThis is warm\, welcoming family event with free refreshments and a lunch for children\, along with fun activities to engage in.
