SUMMARY:Drop-in event about the impact of good hand hygiene | Monday 28th April @ Bridge House
DESCRIPTION:Monday May 5th is World Hand Hygiene Day as part of the ‘SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands’ campaign. The event is promoted by the World Health Organization to improve hand hygiene in healthcare. \nWith Monday 5th being a bank holiday\, we\, the ICB Health Protection Team are hosting an event on Monday April 28th instead. \nPlease come along to the Pelham room at Bridge House on 28th to see the impact of good hand hygiene. We’ve been doing some experiments with ICB staff to visibly demonstrate just how unclean our hands can be\, and what impact hand-washing has on this\, and subsequently on human health and the working environment. \nWe’d love you to come along to the event to see the results of this work and find out more about hand hygiene. There may be some freebies\, and there will be cake! \nAnytime from 9am\, we’d love to see you.

SUMMARY:Lincolnshire Primary Care Research & Innovation Event
DESCRIPTION:We’re inviting all of our Primary Care colleagues to join us in ‘Building a collaborative future for Research & Innovation in Primary Care. \nWho is this conference for?\nAnyone interested in Research & Innovation working in the primary care sector: \n\nCommunity Pharmacies\nDental Practices \nGP practices & PCNs\nOptometry Services\n\nPerhaps you see the importance of Research & Innovation for your career\, practice or patients\, but don’t know where to start\, what resources are available or who can support you. Maybe you already have experience in the Research & Innovation sector but don’t know how to upscale and would value insights from successful models. This conference is aimed at both research naïve and research active practitioners. \nWhy should I be interested in Research & Innovation as a primary care practitioner?\nResearch in primary care is important for many main reasons\, but here are three that rank chiefly amongst them: \nFirstly\, research is necessary for us to constantly question our practice and reduce complacency. \nSecondly\, findings from research allow us to progress and improve patient care. \nFinally\, doing research makes us better translators of evidence\, in turn\, we become better critics and evidence-based practitioners. \nWhat are the benefits of being an Research & Innovation active organisation?\n\nAdditional Income Streams\nIncreased Capacity & Capability\nIncreased Staff Recruitment & Retention\n\nStudies show that by embedding research into healthcare systems\, patients benefit from: \n\nImproved Patient Outcomes\nIncreased treatment adherence\nAccess to Novel Treatments/Technologies\nLess healthcare use\n\nThe agenda is still to be finalised and will be added to this event page as soon as possible. \nReserve a spot
