  • Alcohol and Drug Services

    Lincolnshire County Council has appointed a partnership of Turning Point, Double Impact and Framework to deliver its Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Service.

    The newly named, Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, provides a free and confidential service for people in Lincolnshire who want support for issues related to their drug and alcohol use. A dedicated young people’s service, Horizon, offers support, information, and advice about drugs and alcohol.

  • Pharmacy

    The Pharmacy First service enables members of the public to visit pharmacies, as a first port of call, for help with a range of common minor conditions. The service enables pharmacists to offer advice to patients and supply NHS medicines (including antibiotics), where clinically appropriate, for:

    1. Sinusitis – for children and adults aged 12 years and over;
    2. Sore throat – for children and adults aged 5 years and over;
    3. Earache (Acute otitis media) – for children aged 1 to 17 years;
    4. Infected insect bite – for children and adults aged 1 year and over;
    5. Impetigo – for children and adults aged 1 year and over;
    6. Shingles – for adults aged 18 years and over; and
    7. Uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women aged 16 to 64 years.

  • Podiatry

    Podiatry is the diagnosis and treatment, by podiatrists, of diseases and other disorders of the feet.

    Podiatrists are highly skilled health professionals who have been trained to prevent, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate abnormal conditions of the feet and lower limbs. They also prevent and correct deformity, keep people mobile and active, relieve pain and treat infections.

    Good sexual health is essential and support is available to help you:

    • maintain healthy relationships
    • prevent disease
    • find the right contraception

    How to take care of yourself

    Taking care of your sexual health means regular screens every three months for under-25s and between each new partner. 

    Regular screening and practising safer sex lowers your risk of sexually transmitted infection and long-term health issues. 

    The Lincolnshire Integrated Sexual Health Services (LISH) run clinics to screen you and help with any problems. There are some clinics specifically for young people.

    You can also get advice from your school nurse or NHS choices.
