Celebrating Patient Participation Group (PPG) Awareness Week 2025!

The Cliff House Medical Practice Patient Participation Group (PPG) has made significant contributions to enhancing patient engagement and community health.

They have successfully orchestrated Macmillan coffee mornings, creating supportive social spaces while raising awareness and funds for cancer care. Over the past year or so, the group have led a dedicated recruitment drive that attracted around 30 new potential participants, strengthening their community involvement.

The PPG also provided valuable assistance during the practice’s transition to becoming the first GP surgery in Lincolnshire to implement Anima for triage, ensuring a smooth adaptation to this innovative digital system. Demonstrating their commitment to preventative healthcare, the PPG successfully secured a community grant from the local council to boost patient involvement in health-focused dialogue and initiatives, working closely with the Lincolnshire Co-op to broaden their impact.

Furthermore, the PPG has supported the practice’s mission to integrate trauma-informed care into every aspect of service delivery.

Looking ahead, the practice is excited to continue collaborating with the PPG as we participate in the NHS GP Pilot, hopeful that the enhanced multidisciplinary team (MDT) working will bring positive outcomes for patients and staff alike.

We also hope to build on the success of the ‘town hall meetings’ that the PPG and Dr Ansari have organised in the past, facilitating an opportunity for patients to partake in a ‘no holds barred’  question and answer session about service delivery that can sometimes be opaque and inaccessible to patients.
