The NHS is reminding everyone who is eligible for a Covid‑19 vaccination that the current vaccination offer ends on 30 June 2026.
After this date, access to the Covid‑19 vaccination will not be available until the winter campaign launches later in 2026.
“Covid‑19 continues to circulate and vaccination remains one of the most effective tools the NHS has to help reduce the risk of serious illness. This reminder is part of our ongoing effort to ensure that everyone who is eligible has the opportunity to protect themselves before the deadline,” explains Steve Clapton, Head of Immunisation & Screening, NHS Lincolnshire ICB.
Who Is eligible?
People eligible for a Covid-19 vaccination include those:
- Aged 75 and over (including those who will be 75 by 30 June 2026)
- Living in a care homes for older adults
- Aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
How to Get Your Vaccination
If you are eligible, you can book appointments online or by using the NHS App. Alternatively, you can call 119.
If you are under 18 and eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine, you can book an appointment online book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment online or by calling the Vaccine Rapid Response Team (VRRT) on 01522 301980.
Why getting vaccinated matters
- Protection against COVID-19 — immunity fades over time, especially for older people and those with underlying health conditions.
- Reduced hospitalisation — vaccination significantly lowers the risk of severe illness and being hospitalised
- Community protection — getting vaccinated helps protect vulnerable family members and neighbours.
“We still have good appointment availability across GP practices and community pharmacies. I would encourage anyone eligible to have their Covid-19 vaccination. Don’t leave it until the last minute, we expect demand to increase as we get closer to the 30 June,” adds Steve.
“Ultimately, we want to ensure that everyone who is eligible has the chance to get protected before the offer closes on 30 June. If you or someone you care for is eligible, please make time to book your vaccination. It’s a simple step that can help reduce the risk of serious illness.”
