On 4 February 2026, the Lincolnshire Primary Care Research & Innovation Event brought together colleagues from across the primary care sector for an afternoon of learning, networking and collaboration aimed at building a collaborative future for research and innovation in primary care.
Held at the New Life Conference Centre in Sleaford, the event welcomed attendees from GP practices and PCNs, community pharmacies, dental practices and optometry services. It provided a platform for both those new to research and innovation and those already active, with sessions designed to share practical insights, highlight available resources and showcase successful models of research engagement.
The programme included networking over lunch, a welcome and opening remarks, and a series of structured presentations and discussions on how practices can become research-active. The event aimed to demystify research involvement and emphasise its value in improving patient care, enhancing clinical practice and increasing organisational capacity.
This event supports the ICB’s ongoing commitment to embed research and innovation within our primary care landscape — strengthening capability, fostering collaboration and ensuring that research becomes a routine part of care delivery across Lincolnshire.
Thanks to all who attended and contributed to meaningful conversations that will help shape our research culture moving forward.
