If you already have the App, take another look at what it can do. And if you have not downloaded it yet, getting started will save you time and give you easier access to important health information.
Depending on the services available from your GP practice, hospital or local NHS service, you can use the NHS App to:
- order repeat prescriptions and choose a pharmacy to collect them from
- book, change or cancel GP appointments
- view hospital appointments and referrals
- see parts of your GP health record, including medicines, vaccinations, and some test results
- receive messages from your GP practice, hospital, and other NHS services
- contact your GP practice about a health problem or admin request
- use NHS 111 online and find trusted health information.
The App has also been updated with a new home screen. This has been designed to make it easier to find things such as prescriptions, appointments, test results, and other health information.
Remember to turn on notifications too
NHS services may use the App to send you appointment updates, test results, information about your care or something you need to do. Checking messages when a notification arrives helps make sure you don’t miss important information.

Support is also available across Lincolnshire for people who may need some extra help or confidence using digital services. This includes including community-based support and drop-in sessions.
You do not have to use the NHS App to access NHS services, but it’s a convenient way to manage many everyday healthcare tasks in one place.
