Patients in Lincoln can now access improved healthcare services as Glebe Park Surgery officially opens its new premises at the Carlton Centre Retail Park in Lincoln.

The state-of-the-art facility, which opened on Monday 19 May 2025, replaces the previous site on Montaigne Crescent in the city. The new surgery significantly enhances patient care with triple the space, eight clinical rooms, and dedicated parking.

The relocation marks a major step forward in ensuring high-quality primary care for the growing local population. The expanded space allows for an increased range of services and greater support for both patients and staff.

Debbie Brennan, Practice Manager at Glebe Park Surgery, said: “We are delighted to welcome our patients to our brand-new premises. This move ensures we can continue to provide excellent healthcare services while expanding the support available to our community.”

Patients can now attend appointments at the new location, with clear guidance available to help with the transition. The new facility is also designed to enhance the patient experience, offering a welcoming and efficient environment for all.

Debbie added: “Anyone who is thinking of registering as a new patient at Glebe Park Surgery can complete a registration form online at www.glebeparksurgery.co.uk/practice-information/how-to-register. Paper copies of the form are also available from the surgery. Depending on the number of new registrations, it may take up to one week for registrations to be completed. We kindly ask that you bear with the surgery team at this time.”

A collaborative effort to improve local healthcare

Dr Robert Jackson-Lawrence, GP Partner at Glebe Park Surgery, said: “This is an exciting new chapter for the surgery. The additional space allows us to enhance care, introduce new services, and grow our team to better meet patients needs.”

The project was made possible with support from NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), which collaborated with several partners to bring the development to life.

Sarah-Jane Mills, Director for Primary Care and Community and Social Value at NHS Lincolnshire ICB, said: “This is a fantastic example of local organisations working together to improve patient care. The new premises provide a much-needed modern facility that will benefit both staff and patients.”

Lincolnshire Co-op owns the Carlton Centre and invested £1.7m in the works to transform the unit into the new surgery.

Lincolnshire Co-op’s Development and Acquisitions Manager Sam Heathershaw said: “Glebe Park Surgery is a vital service for thousands of people. We’re pleased to be able to support the NHS to deliver a much-improved facility both for patients and colleagues. Looking after health and wellbeing is one of our focuses at Lincolnshire Co-op. This type of project is a perfect fit for us, using our properties to make life better for local communities.”

Tim Bradford, a Director within the Investment and Development Consultancy team at Eddisons said: “It has been a pleasure representing the Coop and working with the Practice and the ICB to identify the most suitable site for the relocation of the surgery. It is refreshing to see how the parties have collaborated in identifying an excellent new location at the Carlton Centre. We are pleased to have project managed the development through to a satisfactory conclusion.
