  • CONNECTPlus - Lincolnshire
    CONNECTPlus - Lincolnshire

We have recently invested in the development and roll out of an app designed specifically for womens’ health needs. The app has information about a wide range of services available in Lincolnshire including:

    • contraception options
    • dealing with the menopause
    • cervical screening locally
    • advice around pre-conception care, breast pain or STI screening
    • domestic violence

You can now download the CONNECTPlus app for free on any mobile device, including tablets and smartphones.

Available on both the Google Play Store and the App Store, this provides you with a great selection of Women’s Health information right to your fingertips.

  • Menopause

We recently held two menopause workshops led by Dr Narmatha Kangeyan, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

The sessions covered a wide range of information about the menopause

Clair Raybould, Executive Director for System Delivery and Women’s Health Champion, NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board said:

The menopause can be a period of significant change, not only physically with symptoms such as hot flushes, brain fog, and muscle aches, but also emotionally with changes such as experiencing low mood, anxiety, and irritability. Women in Lincolnshire have told us they want to take charge of their wellbeing but need support and we hope that by offering this workshop it is a step in the development of that support.

You can also visit our Virtual Menopause Workshop page to find out more.

  • Women’s health survey

A series of face to face and virtual events during July through to September 2024 asked women for their views on a range key areas including:

    • Access to healthcare services
    • Experiences with reproductive health, maternity care, and menopause support
    • Mental health and well-being
    • Information and education about women's health issues
    • Quality of care and patient satisfaction

The responses will allow women to influence how healthcare services are delivered and tailored across Lincolnshire.  By sharing their experiences and opinions, women can ensure that their voices are heard and that their specific health concerns are addressed. We will use the information gathered to develop our future strategy for Women.
