A new website aimed at supporting Lincolnshire residents living with or beyond cancer, as well as their families, carers and health and social care professionals, is now live.
The new website, the first of its kind in the county, will provide additional support and information and be an accessible one stop shop for information on a range of topics, from pre-diagnosis to end of treatment support, including diet and nutrition, mental health and getting active.
“Our aim is to make sure people living with cancer in Lincolnshire get the right support, at the right time, from the right people, in a way that works for them as individuals,” said Kathie McPeake, Macmillan Living with Cancer Programme Manager.
“Anyone diagnosed with cancer faces a very worrying and uncertain time and our job as health care professionals working within Lincolnshire NHS is to make sure everyone, including our colleagues, and patients’ families, friends and carers, get the help they need.
“Our new Lincolnshire Cancer Support website will be another avenue of much-needed support for anyone who needs it.”
