Review of patient experiences on the Prostate Cancer Pathway
1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. If you’re over 50, or you’re black, or your dad or brother had it, you’re at even higher risk. Prostate cancer is not always life-threatening. But when it is, the earlier you catch it the more likely it is to be cured.
The Living with Cancer (LWC) programme is committed to improving the experiences of people who have had a cancer diagnosis and those who care for them, as well as improving their quality of life.
It is really important that we hear your experiences, this will help us to make the right improvements to the service to ensure people in Lincolnshire are given the best possible advice, care, and treatment for prostate cancer. The questions in this survey are optional but the more you can answer the better it will help us to improve.
What is this survey about?
Gathering feedback and experiences from people who have been told they have prostate cancer and their family and carers, as well as those who have been referred for diagnostic tests but received a negative result (doesn’t have cancer). Understanding the possible side effects and impact of prostate cancer and treatment and how these might affect daily lives. Gathering feedback on the level of support, advice, and information you received and identifying if there are any gaps. Feedback received will be considered in the review of prostate cancer services in Lincolnshire and help shape improvements in the service going forward.
This survey can be completed by people who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and also their partners, family or carers.
