Better Births Lincolnshire – Maternity Transformation Programme

As any mum will tell you, pregnancy is a journey, whether it is your first baby or something you have experienced before. Much like any journey, preparation, support and having the information and tools to allow you to make the right choices for you and your family will make it a success.

The partners involved with Better Births Lincolnshire want to develop innovative new services to make sure you are well supported and informed at every stage of your pregnancy, enabling you to make decisions about your care which are best suited to you and your family.

For the first time, Better Births Lincolnshire brings together all the services across the county responsible for supporting and caring for both you and your baby throughout your pregnancy journey. We are working together to ensure that it’s not only easier for you to access high-quality care, but that you are also able to choose the services most suited to your needs.

With choices including homebirth, home-from-home birth centre settings and delivery suites in three hospital locations; where your baby is born is an important choice for you and your family to make.

Before you make your decision you need to know more about the options you have, your own clinical need and the health of your baby.

Our dedicated teams will be able to help you every step of the way so when the time comes you will have the birth that is best for you and your baby. We are also working with a range of other partners to provide specialist services to help you during your pregnancy. Everything we are doing really is all about you, so we want to hear how we can personalise your experience by offering you more choice, while continuing to provide self-care.

Lincolnshire Maternity Voices

Lincolnshire Maternity Voices is the new maternity forum covering central Lincolnshire. We are a committee of service users, service user representatives, midwives, doctors and commissioners. We work together to review and contribute to the development of local maternity services. We’re an independent body, reporting to Lincolnshire Maternity and Neonatal System.

The volunteer service user reps meet monthly to review issues, plan themed sessions or arrange focus groups. You can also find the user reps out in the community collecting feedback from women and their partners about their experiences of using local maternity services.
